The MacDuffie School has a part-time (75% full-time) opening for a Dance Teacher; the role could include a Residential Assistant component to supplement the role to 100% full-time for qualified candidates.
The MacDuffie School offers dance to middle school students (6th to 8th grade), and high school elective progression in modern dance. In addition, elective dance is offered based on the skill and preference of the teacher; current electives include Jazz. Hip Hop, and Choreography. Additional responsibilities include a fall and spring dance recital, the choreographic direction of the school's winter musical, and work with The MacDuffie Dancers, an extra-curricular club. Other duties, support work with the NDEO (the National Dance Educational Organization), open houses, annual awards celebration, advising, and weekend duty.

Bachelor's Degree in Dance or equivalent required; two years experience in a school setting and advanced degree preferred.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is based on experience and prorated by workload.
