Promotional Paragraph: The School of Music at Ball State University invites application and nominations for a one-year Non Tenure-line Assistant Teaching Professor/Lecturer in Applied Percussion. Description: Teach applied lessons to undergraduate and graduate students, leading weekly studio class, directing/conducting percussion ensemble, coaching student chamber groups, and additional duties as assigned by the director. Additional performance opportunities may be available locally and regionally. The successful candidate will be expected to recruit and maintain a strong studio, maintain a national/international level of performance/scholarship, and participate in service. Faculty members are also expected to function as collaborative, innovative, inclusive and adaptive members of the College of Fine Arts community, both within and beyond one's home unit. All College of Fine Arts faculty are expected to be quality teachers, productive in creative and/or scholarly work, engaged in public service activities, and contributors to the Ball State and Muncie communities and beyond.
