The Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, an independent International school in downtown Manhattan, seeks a highly qualified, motivated educator/director to teach Middle and High School Theatre classes, including IB (SL & HL) Theatre courses, and direct extracurricular productions. This is a full-time position that will begin in late August, 2022.
The ideal candidate will be positive, collaborative, creative, organized, and passionate about student learning. In addition, the candidate should be an effective communicator and a reflective practitioner.

Teaching Middle School theatre classes, High School IB Theatre classes (SL & HL), and one High School Theatre elective course.
Directing curricular and extracurricular theatrical performances/productions.
Serving as an advisor in our High School advisory program
Being a collaborative, contributing team member of the Fine Arts Department as well as the Upper School faculty
Supporting and sponsoring extracurricular activities/events
Growing professionally in order to meet the changing responsibilities of the position
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
Experience in teaching Middle and High School students
Experience in teaching introductory to advanced level Theatre courses, IB experience preferred
Experience in directing productions
Familiarity with curriculum design
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
