The Middle School teacher is in a unique role to teach, mentor, motivate and inspire students through an advisory program and experiential learning opportunities within a tight-knit school community. The right candidate will display a commitment to high professional standards of communication with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators. This position requires learning to drive a 14 passenger school bus while working toward their CDL certification. Candidates MUST have solid content knowledge, minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, and relate well to middle school students
Proven ability to collaborate with other teachers of the same course, department, and whole faculty
Ability to interact professionally with parents and community members
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Strong oral and written communication skills
Background in the use of technology for teaching, student projects, and documenting curriculum using a learning management system
A demonstrated record of working and collaborating within a school community
Additional responsibilities include the ability to drive and obtain a CDL license, advisory and grade level curriculum planning and activities
