The Music Department at Keene State College invites applications for an open pool of applicants interested in part-time, non-benefited, Vocal Coach & Staff Pianist work beginning in the Fall 2021 semester. Applicants must demonstrate a wide range of collaborative piano and coaching skills in the areas of vocal, choral and instrumental repertoire. The successful candidate will work with the Coordinator of Piano to enrich and strengthen the Collaborative Piano experience for students at Keene State College. Audition (live or recorded) is required before final selection.The Keene State College Music Department is a NASM-accredited music program offering approximately 100 music majors undergraduate degrees in Performance, Composition, Technology and Education.*Please note that there may be no current openings in this area, but applications submitted here will be held through December 1, 2022 and will be reviewed as openings occur during the 2021-2022 academic year and beyond.*Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds, with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience they develop critical thinking, creative inquiry, intercultural competence, civic engagement, and commitment to well-being that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. We strongly encourage individuals to apply who will support the Collegeâs ongoing efforts to help students become responsible global citizens.

A Masterâ€™s degree in Music from an accredited college, university or conservatory by start of appointment, or equivalent professional experience; a minimum of three years of collaborative piano experience at the College/University/Conservatory or Professional level, with extensive knowledge of vocal literature and excellent sight-reading skills.
