Language of instruction: French preferred The position is a full-time (100%) annual position that comprises both teaching and coordination responsibilities. This role reports to the Middle School Division Head. This individual works closely with the Dean of Teaching and Learning, Educational Leaders, and teachers. Job Summary A significant percentage of this role is comprised of teaching visual arts. Some teaching of drama and/or music is an option based on the candidate profile. The coordination responsibility spans the Pre-K to 8, with an emphasis on supporting drama and music teachers, and art projects with Lower School. The coordinator announces, facilitates, and helps organize projects, exhibitions, and performances at the lower and middle school level. Qualifications: Required language: English with fluent French preferred The ability to be employed in the United States and to pass a background check are required. French secondary certification preferred. A minimum of 3 to 5 years working in arts within varied settings is required. Applicants should have some Middle School teaching experience, a desire to be part of an internationally diverse community of teachers and learners, with a willingness to adapt to the unique program at FASPS. Successful candidates will be passionate about working with students, have knowledge of current educational practices and strategies and be able to use flexible and innovative pedagogical techniques appropriate to a variety of learning styles.
