Homer OPUS is a nonprofit organization that delivers school and community-based
string programs to individuals aged kindergarten through adult. Homer Youth String Orchestra Club, our youth orchestra program, was established in 2004 to foster the orchestral arts and musicianship. The school-based program, established in 2015, uses the power of music and the social experience of ensemble to help young people become better learners and better citizens.
We currently have violin programs for K-2 students at two elementary schools and multiple orchestral ensembles for ages 3 rd grade to adult. Homer is located on beautiful Kachemak Bay in south central Alaska.
