| Position Title: Adjunct – Director of the Rowan String Orchestra Category: Faculty - College of Performing Arts Facility: Rowan Main Campus Department: Music Status: Temporary Part-time Internal/External: External Deadline Date: Opened Until Filled Location: Glassboro, NJ The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct position (part-time, non-tenure track) as Director of the Rowan String Orchestra to begin September 1, 2022. The Rowan String Orchestra is a one-credit course for non-music majors. The orchestra currently meets on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:45 PM. Applicants should be familiar conducting and leading an orchestra of varying levels, with a good knowledge of repertoire appropriate for a Middle or High School orchestra level. In addition to conducting, the successful candidate should have some knowledge of string technique. A master’s degree in music is required.
