Organize, plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate programs on behalf of the Cultural and Heritage Commission that promote public interest in local history, in the arts, and in the cultural values, goals, traditions, and heritage of the College, County, State, and Nation.
Develop and administer viable programs in the areas of the arts, culture, and history. Duties entail planning, organizing, and directing program activities and managing budgets for program activities.
Develop artistic programming to showcase and support Camden County artists, musicians, poets, etc, based on goals and long-range plan. Develop programs and events that acknowledge and embrace the rich diversity of the Camden County community.
Work with Commission Administrator, Executive Director, and, when necessary, members of the Cultural and Heritage Commission, to formulate programs and identify various components of the program and its financial, personnel, and material needs.
Support Commission Administrator with executing the Arts and Economic Prosperity 6 Study from the Americans for the Arts, which will include creating a database of county non-profit arts and cultural organizations; extensive data collection; and distribution and collection of audience-intercept surveys.
Assist Commission Administrator in completing necessary grant review forms, grant applications, and interim and final grant reports related to the re-grants process.
Possess a general knowledge of grant processes, budgeting, and reporting.
Possess knowledge of the various organizations and facilities within Camden County whose programs and services relate to fine arts, applied arts, performing arts, and history.
Maintain partnerships with a multitude of organizations and groups, to achieve Commission goals.
Maintain accurate records of program income and expenses, ensuring accurate and timely payments of artists and organizations, according to budgets. Prepare financial reports on programs and activities.
Develop techniques for collecting demographic and other data related to programs and activities and reports on that data.
Coordinate public information about Cultural and Heritage Commission programs in conjunction with the Commission Administrator and the College's Marketing Department, and appropriate College personnel.
Possess ability to plan and carry out surveys and studies of existing social, educational and historical, cultural services in concert with the appropriate College personnel.
Collaborate with school districts and/or individual school and college representatives regarding the presentation of educational and artistic projects beneficial to the students and other residents of Camden County.
Ability to partner effectively with individuals or groups representing diverse backgrounds, interests, and perspectives.
Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
