Walnut Hill School for the Arts seeks a full-time faculty member to join the Humanities department to teach a variety of English courses, starting in mid-August 2022. This is a full-time academic year position reporting to the Head of Humanities. The Humanities program aims to teach skills and habits of attention, critical thinking, intellectual persistence, and reflection through careful reading and writing in the study of history and literature. In doing this, the department plays a central role in students' education as artists, as intellectuals, and as engaged citizens. A student-centered approach emphasizing depth over breadth is the hallmark of a Walnut Hill Humanities class. The department is committed to an ongoing process of building our capacity as anti-racist educators
