St. Ambrose University invites applications for the temporary part-time position of Assistant Technical Coordinator starting in January through May, 2022. This position has the possibility of continuing work beginning in August. Duties include but are not limited to training, planning, managing all student workers in the scene shop as well as supervising the building and constructing of scenery. Equipment inventory, and maintenance of tools will also be the responsibility of this position. Successful candidate will be able to train and supervise student crews in safe tool use in woodworking and metalworking tools. Setting up and running of live events on stage is also a component of this position. Minimum qualifications: Must have broad knowledge of carpentry. Must have current work experience in theatre area or related experience and/or training; Bachelor's degree in technical theatre or related field is preferred. Position is open until filled.
