Advertised Job Summary:
Performs custodial duties to include but not limited to high and low dusting, vacuuming, washing walls, mopping and scrubbing floors, wiping down surfaces (wood, glass, plastic, Formica, tile, slate, granite, ceramic, blackboard, and white board) shampooing carpets, sweeping, polishing floors and furniture, collecting and removing trash and recycled materials, and any other cleaning work necessary in activity rooms, auditoriums, canteens, classrooms, computer and network labs, conference rooms, day care facilities, elevators, entrances, halls, function rooms, kitchens, laboratories, libraries, lounges, patios, offices, restrooms, indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, stairways, studios, study halls, and theaters adhering to University policies and procedures, applicable standards for the specific type of location being cleaned, safety codes, and OSHA regulations, and using applicable equipment and appropriate cleaning supplies in order to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment, and keep up the property value of the assigned buildings.
