Advertised Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor of Guitar will teach undergraduate and graduate applied guitar students, guitar literature, pedagogy, and ensemble as necessary; maintain a high level of professional visibility at regional, national and international levels; recruit students for undergraduate and graduate programs; and supervise guitar graduate assistants.
The School of Music is an independent unit on campus and a dynamic leader for music and music education in the United States, with a full-time faculty of 60 and a student population of 485. Degrees in guitar performance are offered through the doctoral level.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
An earned doctorate in music is preferred; an earned master's degree in music or equivalent professional experience is required. Candidates should have an established record of teaching and demonstrate excellence as a performer.
