Henderson Community College serves approximately 1,500 credit, dual credit, adult education and workforce development students each semester in a three-county region of Northwest Kentucky. Henderson is one of 16 colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The college and its faculty and staff are focused on student and community development and success. HCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Faculty responsibilities include teaching an Introduction to Music course in fall 2021. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom. In addition, candidates should demonstrate an interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept.
Part-time instruction in Music of face-to-face morning or evening classes on our main campus in Henderson and/or local high schools in Union and/or Henderson counties
Attendance reports, professional development, and mandatory trainings
Effective communication and computer/technology skills
Experience teaching in the hybrid environment
Master's degree in Music or Master's degree in a related field with 18 credit hours in the discipline is required to apply.
An ability to teach in other humanities is beneficial.
