This full-time non-tenure track position will be responsible for teaching performance-related instruction in woodwind instruments, percussions and/or jazz band; and any additional duties required by the Department Head and/or Program Coordinator. Duties will include preparation of students for weekly music seminar and junior and senior solo recitals; Department Head option to assign woodwind ensembles classes.
Teaches woodwinds, percussion and/or jazz band.
Performs services to the band program, college, university, and the profession. Requires purchasing and procurement, inventory, and managing undergraduate and graduate student workers.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Head.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Music.
Three years experience in a high school or college level music program.Â
Must be able to travel.
Four or more years experience. Planning and organizational skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard repertoire and technique for woodwind instruments.
Knowledge of music history, literature, and appreciation.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Planning and organization skills.
