The Music and Performing Arts Librarian is a critical member of the Libraries' Digital and Open Scholarship Team, situated within the Department of Research and Scholarship. The Music and Performing Arts Librarian ensures that the Libraries' collections and services support the academic, creative, and research needs of students and faculty in music and performing arts, including drama, theater, dance, performance, music industry, music education, and related disciplines. The Librarian provides essential services, including reference assistance, information literacy instruction, and collection development, and serves as the Libraries' point of contact for these departments and programs. As a member of the Digital and Open Scholarship team, the Librarian contributes to broader library services supporting new modes of digital scholarship and the creation and distribution of open content.
