West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Undergraduate Admissions team invites applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Recruitment at the Philadelphia campus located at 701 Market Street.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Graduate Marketing and Admissions and the Deputy Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director will serve as the lead recruiter for Graduate and Undergraduate programs offered at the WCU Philadelphia campus and will develop and execute a recruitment plan for all programs offered.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and a commitment to working in a team environment.
Providing supervisors with detailed reports tracking and analyzing recruitment and admissions activities and trends, including social media and electronic outreach.
Planning and overseeing undergraduate and graduate recruitment events at the Philadelphia Center
Participating in off-campus admissions events for prospective students interested in main campus programs and the Philadelphia campus.
Building relationships with community colleges, local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations
Managing the cohort of prospective and admitted students from the first point of contact to matriculation.
Making undergraduate admissions decisions
Assisting the Graduate Assistant Directors of Enrollment Management with prospect outreach and application support (as needed) for the Master’s of Social Work (MSW), Master’s in Transformative Education and Social Change (TESC), Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) and future graduate programs.
Developing multi-media tools for recruitment including but not limited to videos, PowerPoint presentations and social media initiatives.
Utilizing CRM software (Slate) and the various functionality for effective recruitment and marketing.
Working in coordination with Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to conduct outreach and plan events for the Philadelphia community
Developing and maintaining recruitment materials in collaboration with WCU’s Marketing Department and Graphics and Printing.
Maintaining a high level of responsiveness with prospective and admitted students.
Facilitating and coordinating outreach efforts to newly admitted students to build strong relationships to maintain a high yield and contribute to retention efforts
Hosting group and program information sessions
Handling individual appointments or walk-ins
Handling all correspondence and phone calls pertaining to prospects and admitted students.
Providing an excellent experience for prospective and current students.
Assisting with main campus recruitment efforts including attending main campus events for both Undergraduate Admissions and The Graduate School.
Staying up to date on all university course offerings and admissions policies to support overall university recruitment.
Professional work experience in higher education admissions or related field
Valid driver’s license
Direct recruiting experience
Direct customer service experience
Experience using administrative software and other technology tools within a higher education environment
