This senior level position provides tactical leadership to the overall employment function, manages all faculty and executive level recruitment efforts, and manages the daily, tactical leadership for faculty services.
Working with the Employment team to develop/recommend recruitment strategies, practices and resources that attract qualified and diverse candidate pools through effective ad development, community outreach, and efficient, fair and equitable searches.
Meeting with faculty search committees at beginning of the hiring process to discuss hiring guidelines including immigration, ad placement, background checks, and answering any process related questions.
Providing training to faculty search committees on NeoGov software for job postings and application review.
Following-up with faculty search committees throughout the process, offering assistance.
Ensuring recruitment for faculty positions are satisfactory and proactively researches and implements new ways to recruit faculty positions.
Engaging with College Business Managers in processing temporary faculty workloads and personnel transactions.
Reviewing analytics related to searches and turnover and makes recommendations accordingly (i.e. programs, services); providing guidance and recommendations to academic departments related to succession planning based upon analytics.
Managing the educational verification process and obtains terminal degree transcripts for file retention; overseeing the receipt of all human resources and departmental hiring forms.
Partnering with New Faculty Orientation Committee to ensure human resources topics are addressed.
Working with immigration attorneys and employment team to process and meet needs of departments employing foreign nationals.
Monitoring and fulfilling contractual obligations found in faculty collective bargaining agreement as appropriate and as assigned.
Partnering with Payroll to address compensation issues brought forth by faculty or APSCUF; and ensuring proper processing of dual comp, overload, winter and summer workloads, etc.
Working with area-specific human resources managers to resolve complex faculty issues, developing and implementing internal processes to streamline the workflow between multiple areas of responsibility (i.e. Leaves of absence).
Partnering with Employee Labor Relations (ELR) to assist with faculty contract interpretation, this involves working with the campus community including department chairs, deans, supervisors, and union representatives.
Preparing reports for executive management (President, Provost, Deans), State System, ELR and APSCUF union as needed.
Other duties assigned.
The ideal candidate can follow oral and written directions; demonstrates effective communication skills; the ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience
Advance Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline.
Experience working in employment and/or HR related functions
Experience working with faculty and staff to provide value added consultation and services
Excellent benefits package including undergraduate tuition fee waiver for self and dependents. The salary range is $76,229-$87,118.
