• Understands, embraces and implements the school’s mission and philosophy as written in the Mission Effectiveness Standards, participates in the Christ-centered life of the school; and models the school’s philosophy in working with students, parents, colleagues and administration.
• Supports the Catholic identity of DPCR as a faith-based high school.
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive staff and student data.
• Regular communication with school personnel in regards to campus ministry activities through weekly newsletter.
• Religion Department Chairperson and liaison with school administration for curricular and activity/event planning.
• Organization and development or prayer experiences and the development of different forms of prayer and meditation to be used in classrooms.
• Acts as a substitute teacher primarily for the religions department.
• Collaborate with the Principal and Dean of Students to develop a five-year plan for Bruin Movement.
• Coordinate and facilitate service opportunities for students, staff and families.

Collaborate with President/CEO and Principal in developing relationships with local spiritual leaders in the Cincinnati community of various faith backgrounds.

Forming a Faith Community:

• Facilitates an atmosphere of Christian hospitality where all feel welcome, based on Catholic faith traditions and rituals. Acknowledges and celebrates diversity within the school community.
• Communicates regularly with the DPCR community and parents regarding campus ministry activities, programs and projects.
• Works collaboratively with the President/CEO, Principal, and Chaplain in the development of faith centered programs that involve alumni, benefactors, and parents. Promotes spiritual growth by providing opportunities for others to deepen their relationship with Christ.
• Organizes, plans and implements an effective retreat program for students, parents and employees that contributes to community building, faith development, evangelization and leadership enrichment.
• Discipleship and Retreats:
• Organizes, motivates, and initiates various ministry-related programs with students, employees and parents.
• Establishing retreat dates and location servicing as liaison between the school and retreat center hosts.
• Communication with employees and student body about retreat events and details and lead faith formation of employees and students throughout the year to prepare for the retreat experience in order to develop student and employee leadership on retreats. Consistent presence and lead responsibility during all retreats.
• Develop a four year culturally inclusive and responsive retreat experience that builds upon itself from freshmen to senior year.
• Collaborate with President/CEO and Principal in planning employee retreats for the beginning, middle and end of the school year.

Prayer and Sacramental Experiences:

• Offers a variety of prayer experiences, both personal, communal and seasonal.
• Provides opportunities for students and employees to celebrate the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and Reconciliation including penance services during Advent and Lent.
• Coordinates liturgical celebrations including monthly school-wide or class Masses, daily Masses, and employee Masses with the school President/CEO, Principal and local parish priests.
• Assists the Music Director and choir in the selection of appropriate sacred music that will enhance student participation at school liturgies and coordinates the use of the chapel.

Service and Social Justice:

• Coordinates and facilitates service opportunities throughout the school year. Coordinates and facilitates summer service trips (planning, preparation, reflection). Applies for service learning grants.

• Maintains service hour log and implements service learning hour requirement or development of a school-wide program that promotes the student as a servant leader in the communities in which we serve and at school.
• Bruin Movement Coordinator: Guides teachers as they facilitate and implement the Bruin Movement in their classroom.
• Nurtures students in social consciousness based on the Gospels and Catholic social teachings.
• Empowers work for justice and service. Infuses the concepts of justice, peace, human dignity, and the integrity of creation into all aspects of ministry.
• Insures an awareness of the missions through such activities as fundraisings and inviting missionaries as guest speakers.
• Preparation of Leaders for the Church
