1. Collaborating with unit leadership, develop and implement production policies that ensure safe working conditions and high organizational and artistic standards.2. Assume primary responsibility for production oversight for student- and faculty-produced events in a range of venues. As designated, oversee or assist with professional touring productions in a range of venues.3. Hire, advise, and/or supervise student and professional production staff for student- and faculty-produced productions. For a wide range of performance and/or film events, advise students, faculty, and staff throughout the production process in areas including, but not limited to, safety, production planning, budgeting, technical design, and design.4. Evaluate student capabilities and, as needed, train, and mentor students and arrange/provide supervision during production activity.5. Hire and manage temporary staff and vendors as needed to support productions.6. Coordinate with internal (Yale) and external partners including safety organizations.7. Oversee production facilities, equipment, schedules.8. As designated, lead workshops in production skills.9. Other duties as assigned.
