Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of theatrical systems, manages inventory and all safety protocols, oversees and supervises event logistics at Zoellner Arts Center. The Stage and Events Coordinator position supervises employees through scheduling, training and administering payroll. 1. Key Competencies *Coordinates all production staffing needs for the Zoellner Arts Center (the Center) *Maintains a culture of safety via the safety policy; supervises and performs event setups as assigned by supervisors; oversees events *Recruit, interview, hire, schedule, train, terminate and evaluate crew performance *Administer payroll for all student and overhire workers *Read performance contracts to determine crew needs *Schedule and assign crew to different coordinators *Supervise and assist crew to perform event logistics *Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) based on event requirements *Routinely implement, update and distribute the Center’s safety protocols and manual *Maintain a clean and safe working environment on stage and in ancillary spaces *Responsible for equipment maintenance, inspections and inventory in the Center *Build and foster relationships with individuals and departments to create a harmonious and effective working environment
2. Key Metrics *Keep abreast of industry standards in technical theatre and event planning including new technologies and procedures *Actively seek out and participate in professional development activities *Stay current on the best safety practices in the industry *Create, assist and implement a short and long-term maintenance plan for Center owned equipment *Work with colleagues to implement, maintain and train student and overhire workers in proper use of stage equipment
3. Administrative *Maintain an organized work station and filing system for all employee, safety and event details *Support the mission of Zoellner Arts Center and Lehigh University *Practice consistent, reliable, predictable, effective, thoughtful, compassionate and courteous communication with all stakeholders and colleagues *Work collaboratively across departments to create an atmosphere of trust and transparency to ensure a healthy workplace that values experience and embraces new ideas *Embrace other management and administration responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s) *Develop strategic plans for improving current and new inventory; make recommendations for large purchases

The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community. Some remote work may be possible with supervisor permission.
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree in Technical Theater or Event Planning preferred
Three to five years related work experience
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service required
Good decision-making skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills, time management and sound judgment
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Solid computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
