The Board of Directors of The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (Kravis or the Center) seeks an inspired, strategically focused, and engaging CEO to lead this storied performing arts center. Under the leadership of Judith Mitchell, who has led the Center since its doors opened in 1992, Kravis has undergone a remarkable period of growth and transformation. The next CEO will join a vibrant organization regarded nationally as one of the leading performing arts centers serving as a model for how an arts center brings together world-class performing artists and the community.
The Center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in Palm Beach County by presenting a diverse schedule of national and international artists and companies of the highest quality, by offering comprehensive arts education programs – serving approximately 2.5 million students since its inception; by providing a Palm Beach County home for local and regional arts organizations to showcase their work; and by providing an economic catalyst and community leadership in West Palm Beach.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for defining Kravis Center’s artistic and strategic direction, overseeing a team of 132 full-time staff and an annual operating budget of over $25 million. The CEO will have exceptional artistic and administrative vision, serving as an inclusive, engaging leader, able to cultivate close relationships with the patrons, donors, colleagues, the arts community, and the larger Palm Beach community. The successful candidate will bring a record of innovative and strategic leadership in a multi-faceted organization. Vital to the CEO’s success will be a decisive, yet collaborative leadership style along with an entrepreneurial drive and exemplary communication skills. Substantial fundraising experience and thoughtful staff leadership are essential.
