The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-time Instructor to teach MUE 415/617 Jazz Ensemble Techniques, a two credit hour course, during the fall 2021 semester. Laboratory in secondary school level jazz pedagogy and performance skills, with an emphasis on developing the ability to analyze, critique, and choose appropriate music and materials for use in the creation of a jazz education curricula, as well as individual lesson plans for ensemble rehearsal and classroom instruction. Upper-division status or permission of instructor. Additional work required of graduate students.
