Studio Teacher, Jazz Piano
Description: Seeking an instructor in jazz piano during the Fall Quarter of 2021. Basic qualifications include at minimum 5-years of one-on-one studio or private instruction in jazz piano, a Bachelor's degree in Music and professional experience. Preferred qualifications include mastery of post-WWII modern jazz piano and its repertoire, and a visible and significant record of performances and/or recordings as a jazz pianist; Master's degree in Music. Duties of the instructor include (but are not limited to) giving individual 50-minute lessons per week for ten weeks (Sept. 23 - Dec. 10). Instruction is at the university undergraduate level for jazz piano majors.
Applicants should hold an appropriate educational degree and professional experience. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreements.
In-person instruction anticipated, but is subject to safety policy governed by the State of California and Cal/OSHA.
