NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions Program in Vocal Performance seeks qualified candidates to teach private voice at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Instructor must have a working knowledge of vocal function, pedagogy and repertoire commensurate for teaching at this level and be available to teach regularly scheduled weekly lessons throughout the academic year. This program serves music majors in classical, music theatre and contemporary vocal studies.
Master's degree required.
Performance and university voice teaching experience in two or more vocal genres required.
Performance and university voice and classroom teaching experience in three genres preferred.

Cover letter (addressing teaching philosophy and diversity & inclusion practices within)
Names and contacts of three references
Two (2) video recordings of teaching that demonstrate both technical and repertoire work in a lesson setting for two of the three genres mentioned above. Each video should be no longer than 20 minutes in duration
