The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for the Fall Quarter 2021 in the curriculum area of Singing for the Stage.
The department seeks applicants who can teach Broadway, legit and contemporary style singing technique. An BA or BFA in Drama/Theater Arts or Music is required. MFA is preferred.
Candidates for this position must have outstanding professional credits in musical theatre (and, if possible, contemporary or operatic) styles and a strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates must also have excellent piano skills. Candidates should demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile that is compatible with distinguished undergraduate professional musical theatre degree program at a major research university. Candidates should show a demonstrated ability and commitment to work effectively with a diverse student population.
Compensation for the quarter will be approximately $6,200.00 total and is non-negotiable.
