Office Manager, School of Dance

About the Position:
The Office Manager will provide organizational, administrative and programmatic support to the academic and production activities of the School of Dance.
Assist the Department Director in tracking budget data and personnel transactions;
Maintain fiscal, personnel and student files;
Organize and coordinate adjunct faculty contract creation and submission;
Maintain departmental calendar and assist director in developing meeting agendas;
Maintain School Director calendar;
Organize and process course schedules;
Coordinate travel for faculty and guests;
Departmental Coordinator in the following capacities: Telecom, Textbook, Grade Submission, Scheduling and HR Liaison;
Provide in-house computer support through troubleshooting;
Identify equipment needs, and purchase equipment when appropriate; responsible for property inventory and all SOD purchasing;
Coordinate with Director and Academic Advisor in responding to prospective student and parent inquiries via telephone, email and in-person;
Serve as the face of the School of Dance department (the first SOD representative one meets when entering the office);
Offer logistical support for audition registration, setup for dance auditions, and communicate audition results;
Maintain prospective student inquiry database and report inquires to Admissions office;
Provide logistical support for scheduling prospective student visits; coordinating class observation and meeting with current students/faculty;
Track student enrollment.
Undergraduate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Works independently and collaboratively with students, faculty, guest artist and administrative personnel;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Expertise in budget management;
In-depth knowledge of university policies and procedures (HR, Finance, Academic, Travel, etc.);
Considerable experience with computers, audio, video and office equipment;
Effectively prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines;
Preparation, presentation and maintenance of multiple program activities in support of the program;
Expertise in organization of national and international guest artist residencies, travel arrangements, payment schedules and visa application process;
Understanding of university processes;
Experience with working in a higher education environment with diverse student population.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
