This full-time, benefits eligible position supports, administers, coordinates activities within the School of Music (SoM). Reporting to the Director of the School of Music, this position tracks records to maintain compliance with NASM standards, implements policies and procedures set in place by faculty and the director. This position also coordinates the details for scheduling of courses, classroom spaces, ensemble concerts, recitals and coordinates building facility work and instrument maintenance.
Coordinates course planning with student and faculty needs; adjunct teaching assignments and contracts, student recruitment and program review, assembles data and maintains records for yearly NASM assessment and accreditation reporting, coordinate schedules for SoM courses, generate all scheduling for classrooms, concerts, recitals, and special events for the University.
Coordinate all logistics of 100+ concerts, recitals, and special events.
Supervise, train and schedule 15-20 student workers.
Administers day to day decisions regarding budget use, creates monthly and yearly reports for director and faculty. Advises yearly budget allocations by forecasting expenditures based on past budgets, current needs and upcoming events.
Office administrative support; website, communication and coordination with greater campus community for events, maintains documentation and active reporting for SoM Mechanical Licensure with ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI, collaborates with Physical Plant on special building projects or building maintenance, organizes student retention activities.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
