Division of Performing Arts - School of Music Admissions & Enrollment Services Counselor
The University of Iowa, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) and Division of Performing Arts has a position within the School of Music as an Admissions & Enrollment Services Counselor (PCD1) available. This is a full-time Professional and Scientific position (Pay grade 3A); salary is commensurate.
Position Summary: The School of Music is seeking an Admissions & Enrollment Services Counselor. This position will be responsible for recruiting students locally, regionally, and nationally; will work with School of Music faculty and staff to establish enrollment goals; and will work with faculty and staff to ensure these enrollment goals are met.
Key duties include:
Recruit and provide information and guidance to prospective students and their families regarding university programs, student life, and admission policies and procedures.
Collaborate with UI Office of Admissions and School of Music staff to plan, coordinate, implement, manage, or assist with recruitment programs.
Represent the University at recruitment and public service programs.
Consult with and explain admission policies and procedures to secondary schools, community colleges, and other educational institutions and external organizations.
Collaborate with music faculty in recruitment activities.
Collaborate with School of Music and Admissions marketing staff to ensure that materials and marketing plans for recruitment activities are effective and to develop new communication channels.
Education Required: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Required: * 1-3 years admissions or recruitment experience. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Desired: * Degree in or experience with music.
