One term teaching assignment in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Department of Conducting; This is a 70% (28 hours per week) instructional position for the fall term 2021 only.
Duties: Visiting Director of Choirs will conduct the Men's Glee Club (large and renowned male chorus comprised primarily of non-music majors) and teach choral conducting for graduate non-conducting majors and advanced undergraduate studies.
Qualifications: Established reputation as conductor and teacher, doctorate in choral conducting required.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
