Presentation High School in San Jose, California is seeking multiple Instructors for our Middle School Creative Arts Camp.This position requires knowledge and experience teaching art to middle school or high school students.
This class will be taught in-person unless prohibited by county Covid-19 safety regulations.
The Creative Arts Instructor will be responsible for planning and implementing two sections of the same course. Courses are 90 minutes each for 5 days. We are looking for instructors for both the AM session and the PM session.
Dates and Times:
Creative Arts Middle School Camp
June 14 - 18
Develop and implement arts-based curriculum for middle school students in partnership with the Summer at Pres Administration
Possible courses might include: Ceramics, Jewelry Making, Graphic Design, Music, Dance, Drawing, Painting, etc.
Provide supervision and instruction to students while maintaining covid safety measures
Create a fun and positive learning environment
Model for students the mission and values of Presentation High School
Be available to students who need assistance
Exercise professionalism at all times with students, parents, and colleagues
Participate in professional development activities of the subject area
Knowledge and experience teaching students in this subject matter
Experience with middle school students
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively to promote student learning
A Single-Subject Teaching Credential and/or Master’s degree in a related field (or working toward either degree)
