Description:  

Connelly School of the Holy Child is looking to hire a Dance Teacher to join our vibrant performing arts program. The instructor will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students (Grades 6-12) in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals in their chosen area of dance.  

Proven experience as a dance instructor in the specific discipline/s of the dance studio is strongly desired.  

Responsibilities:  

• Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level   
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans. 
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers, administrators, and students. 
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.  
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.  
• Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and showcases. 
• Conduct after-school group lessons as required.  
• Join the dance festivals presented by AIMS and the Independent Dance Network 
• Respond to the needs of Holy Child, including service learning, advisory program, assigned supervision and other duties as assigned. 
• An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities. 
• Effective and consistent communication with students, parents, staff, and community. 
• Develop, select, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population.  
• Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of young women.
