The Department of Theatre & Dance at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor for the Summer I session, which runs from May 17 through June 18, 2021. The instructor will teach CNDT 612 Movement Observation, Analysis, and Assessment, a graduate level course for dance/movement therapy students. The course meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 9:00 PM.
Advanced training or certification in movement observation, analysis, and assessment such as Laban Bartenieff Movement Studies, Kestenberg Movement Profile, Movement Psychodiagnostic Inventory, Emotorics, and others; commitment to a multicultural and inclusive perspective in the teaching and application of movement observation systems; prior teaching experience at the graduate level.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Master's degree in dance/movement therapy, expressive arts therapies, or creative arts therapies; board certification in dance/movement therapy (BC-DMT).
