The Early Learning Visual Arts Specialist will work with Early Learning students from PreK 3 through Fourth Grade using drawing, sculpture, painting and other media to help children create and appreciate art. The Early Learning Visual Arts Specialist will work collaboratively with grade level homeroom teachers, as well as other Early Learning Specialists (Music, Creative Movement, STEAM, Media, Kinetic Wellness, and Spanish) to create opportunities for arts integration. and cross-curricular learning opportunities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Embody and advocate for the mission and vision of the school.
Cultivate and celebrate the unique creative expression of each student.
Partner with faculty to integrate arts into classroom activities and into unit planning.
Provide arts resources for faculty to enhance teaching and learning.
Participate in the development of an arts integration scope and sequence.
Seek opportunities to bring artists to campus or to take students off campus to enhance teaching and learning.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Early Learning Principal.
