Job Description Summary:

Under the supervision of the Department Chair for Creative and Performing Arts, the Technical Theater Production Assistant is responsible for making sure the equipment in the theater is functional, well-maintained and safe. The Technical Theater Production Assistant, in collaboration with the Department Chair, is responsible for the overall organization of the technical production process. Duties included are generating necessary working drawings for construction; budget estimations; materials research and recommendations for purchasing; scheduling and supervising student build crews; and organizing the strike and clean-up for the production.

Education Required:

  • Associate Degree

    Education Preferred:

  • Associate Degree in Theater or Drama

    Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years experience in one or more of the following areas: play production or set design

    Experience Preferred:

  • Over 2 years experience in play production or set design
