Lower and Upper School Music Teacher
Renbrook School
Renbrook School (West Hartford, CT), an independent day school for children age three to grade eight, is seeking a warm, experienced, and innovative lower and upper school instrumental and general music teacher for the 2021-2022 academic school year. The Lower and Upper School Music Teacher is responsible for directing Renbrook’s band program, which involves students in grades five through eight, and teaching weekly general music classes to students in third through fifth grade. This position requires a creative, detail-oriented, organized team player with a sense of humor. The Music Teacher is responsible for supporting the lower school’s bi-weekly Morning Meeting Assemblies and should have basic skills on a chordal instrument such as the piano or guitar.
