The Baldwin School is seeking a long-term part-time substitute teacher for Middle School Music. This long-term substitute position will include teaching 6 th and 7 th grade general music and drama classes. We welcome candidates who have experience in both music or drama education and technology. In addition to the work in the classroom, all Baldwin faculty members are expected to engage in those duties typical of independent day school life.
Qualified candidates must have earned at least a Bachelor’s degree with a major in a related music or music education field. An advanced degree is preferred.
Teaching experience is expected, particularly at the Middle School level.
In addition to the ability to teach the subject material effectively, engage students positively, and interact productively with colleagues and parents, the successful candidate will have a knowledge of and strong facility in music or music education.
