Landmark Christian School seeks a Godly, energetic, and creative Spotlight teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. We believe that the role of the Christian school teacher is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, a heart to meet the needs of young people, and a mastery of content and delivery of instruction.
Essential duties include:
Commit to the school’s vision, mission, and core values
Live and teach from a Biblical worldview
Intentionally disciple and support students
Plan and execute clear, creative, and innovative lessons appropriate to 21st-century learners
Create age-level appropriate lessons that promote confident public speaking and dramatic expression
Provide opportunities for students to experience the various facets of theater production including performance, set design, costuming, and direction
Differentiate instruction to reflect knowledge of student progress and engagement
Communicate with parents as partners in a way that reflects Christ
Encourage appropriate behavior in the classroom through effective classroom management.
Engage in and foster the culture of collaboration and professional growth
Passionate about their students, their subject, and their relationship with Jesus Christ
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field required
Experience in drama, public speaking, and theater production
Elementary level teaching experience (at least 3 years preferred)
Technology skills and the ability to teach our virtual students
Flexibility in campus selection
