The Administrative Support Specialist position serves as the assistant to the Director for School of Music Outreach Programs and all other ensemble-related ventures for bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and choirs, as well as, provide additional support to the Director of the School of Music for activities related to Music Recruitment.
HIGHSCHOOLDIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCYANDONEYEAR OF RELATEDOFFICEEXPERIENCE; OR EQUIVALENTCOMBINATION OF TRAININGANDEXPERIENCE.
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Music
Proficiency with Filemaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with UNCG purchasing procedures including e-Marketplace
Experience organizing large-scale music events
Impeccable verbal and writing skills
Advanced interpersonal and multi-tasking skills to handle a busy and diverse population including the general public, students, faculty, and administrators.
