About Arts & Lectures
Recognized as one of the nation’s finest university-based presenters, Art & Lectures offers an exciting array of performing arts programs and lectures to the Santa Barbara community. Arts & Lectures is the largest presenting organization between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a program that features more than 150 events and programs every year. The 2017-18 season included artists and speakers such as Mark Morris Dance Group, Spain’s Compañía Nacional de Danza, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Audra McDonald, Chris Thile, Trevor Noah, Joe Biden, Joyce DiDonato and Condoleezza Rice. Arts & Lectures also produces an extensive educational outreach program that serves more than 30,000 community members with free concerts, lectures, a summer outdoor films series, and arts engagement opportunities for all ages.
