As NJPAC’s full-time AVP of Faculty, Curriculum and Evaluation, you’ll play a vital role in transforming lives through the power of the arts. Our arts education program is the largest in New Jersey, reaching 100,000+ diverse students and families every year with a wide variety of exciting programming.
You’ll oversee a dream team of passionate arts education professionals, including faculty leads and teaching artists—recruiting and hiring talented new faculty as needed.
You’ll collaborate with Arts Ed leadership to develop an engaging and challenging curriculum, including classes, workshops and residencies in devised theater, modern and tap dance, jazz music, performance poetry, hip hop, film, musical theater, early childhood and creative aging.
You’ll review and evaluate our policies, practices and programs, making strategic recommendations and ensuring everything we do meets the highest artistic and educational standards.
You’ll be a leader and role model: shaping our culture, building morale, implementing new ideas and representing the Arts Ed department in the wider organization.
A little bit about you
You have 5+ years in an arts education leadership role. Experience as a faculty member is a plus.
You’re knowledgeable about a wide range of arts genres, including jazz, theater, dance, hip hop, poetry and film.
You’re an advocate for ethnic and multicultural diversity in the arts.
You’re a natural when it comes to budgeting, logistics, public speaking, grant writing and administrative organization.
You’re able to travel throughout New Jersey for programs and events on a flexible schedule.
You’re familiar with software including Arts Vision, SalesForce, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
You have an MA or BA in an arts-related field.
