St. Johns County Amphitheatre seeks a Box Office Assistant with Ticketmaster / box office experience to assist with the Cultural Events box office operations. Assists Box Office Coordinator with all box office aspects of each Cultural Events Division activity: event ticket setup, event on-sale, any event changes, ticket inventory, and daily and weekly ticket sales, among others. Administers the event ticketing database for the Amphitheatre and Concert Hall. This includes, but is not limited to preparing settlement statements, financial reports and other accounts payable reconciliation. Assists the Box Office Coordinator with the backend management of tickets with the Cultural Events tickets management software; create events, holds, accurately setting up relevant data such as ticket prices, ticket text and performance dates and times. Resolves customer complaints, problems and requests. Assists the Box Office Coordinator with the training of seasonal employees. Maintains a full-time presence on the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices. Knowledge of box office administration and event ticketing procedures. Knowledge of proper money handling procedures. Knowledge of computers and job related software programs. Knowledge of Ticketmaster Host, Archtics, and Event Management software preferred. Must be skilled in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions. Skilled in the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports. Skilled in oral and written communication. Must have knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Must have sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with having had a similar position for six months to a year. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills in order to serve others. Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language. Must be able to operate a computer.
