Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) is announcing a search for an energetic, proactive and positive individual to serve as an embedded member of the Purdue Convocations development team. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the Friends of Convocations annual fund program including planning, implementing, and managing the execution of annual fund solicitations, data analysis and reporting, special event and activity planning, donor benefits and services, mailing and communications planning and management, and other fundraising-related administrative functions. Overseeing operations of the Friends of Convocations Advisory Board. Cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of corporate donors and sponsors for gift in kind donations. Cultivating, visiting, soliciting, and stewarding annual donors. Designing and implementing a comprehensive donor services and stewardship operation. Pulling together and analyzing donor data and reports to develop operational strategies focused on retaining donors and increasing fundraising dollars. Providing support for the capital campaigns and major gift solicitation processes and initiatives as needed. Managing grant research, writing and submission processes. This position is an embedded member of the development team for Purdue Convocations, reporting to the Director of Development as a member of the Purdue Research Foundation team. The Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) helps to advance Purdue University in the quest for discovery, learning and engagement, by managing and licensing Purdue's intellectual property, accepting gifts, administering trusts, acquiring property, and negotiating research contracts. www.prf.org
Bachelor's degree required
2-3 years working in event management, project management, fundraising, or closely related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal/written communication skills with ability to build relationships with a diverse group of staff, faculty, alumni, and corporate partners.
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to plan and implement directives.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours in addition to standard office hours.
Bachelor’s degree required; Liberal Arts or Management degree preferred.
Previous fundraising experience in a university setting preferred.
Previous experience working in a theater/arts focused organization preferred.
Tactical knowledge of fundraising and donor services preferred.
