The MYRTLE WOLDSON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER is currently seeking a Marketing Manager for a new facility on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, scheduled to open in April 2019. This facility will house a 750-seat proscenium space and a 168-seat flexible recital hall. One of five full-time staff members for the facility, this position will serve the day-to-day marketing needs for academic and presenting events in theatre, dance and music. 1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in theatre management, arts administration, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, business administration, public administration or a closely related field 2. Four years of progressively responsible marketing experience 3. Thorough working knowledge of graphic design and web content management 4. Demonstrated interest in the performing arts community 5. Ability to coordinate multiple projects in several different venues, prioritize tasks and work within tight deadlines and budgets 6. A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of marketing, organization and supervisory management in a multipurpose facility 7. Excellent and proven organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively interact and collaborate with team members, clients, university departments and personnel. 8. Ability to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings when needed. 9. Performs other related work as required.
