The MYRTLE WOLDSON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER is currently seeking a Production Manager for a new facility on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, scheduled to open in April 2019. This facility will house a 750-seat proscenium space and a 168-seat flexible recital hall. One of five full-time staff members for the facility, this position will serve the technical needs for academic/presenting/rental events in theatre, dance and music. A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre and lighting production, organization and supervisory management in a multipurpose facility is required. 1. A Bachelor of Arts in technical theatre and a 6-8 years of professional experience 2. Ability to coordinate multiple projects in several different venues, prioritize tasks and work within tight deadlines and budgets 3. A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre and lighting production, organization and supervisory management in a multipurpose facility 4. Counterweight rigging experience 5. Thorough knowledge of ETC lighting systems 6. Working knowledge of stage automation and operation of stage machinery 7. Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD or Vectorworks. 8. Ability to run large crews with various skill sets. 9. Excellent and proven organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively interact and collaborate with team members, clients, university departments and personnel. 10. Ability to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings when needed. 11. Maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work/shop environment. 12. Performs other related work as required.
