This position will report directly to the President. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Direct responsibility for establishing and managing a new “Experience PPAC” program. This program will provide free tickets to all Rhode Island high school juniors to attend a curriculum-related Broadway show to broaden their cultural experience (see attached synopsis).
Direct responsibility for establishing and managing a new ”Sensory Friendly Performance Initiative” to provide a welcoming entertainment experience for theatre patrons with sensitivities to lighting and sound effects (see attached synopsis).
Coordination of all PPAC community outreach initiatives, providing support for PPAC’s existing programs with staff members who have shepherded these programs since their inception:

Seats for Service Members
Spring and Fall Wurlitzer Concert Series
PPAC Ticket donation program
Develop expansion opportunities for various existing community outreach programs and provide support for additional outreach initiatives.
Update the PPAC Board of Directors on community outreach efforts at Board meetings throughout the year.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in the arts or similar field of study as well as a minimum of two to three years of community outreach or foundation experience. Involvement in the educational field is a plus. Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work with multiple partners for the betterment of the community are required.

Headquartered in Providence, RI, the non-profit Providence Performing Arts Center and its subsidiary Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM) was established in 1989 in response to a growing need for objective evaluation and management of a wide range of venues in geographically diverse locations.
