Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University seeks a lighting & video SPECIALIST to assist with execution and supervision of the execution of lighting and video in 3 theaters producing and presenting music, theatre, dance & more. Successful completion of background checks required. Twelve-month position, start date negotiable. Equitable and competitive benefits package including partner benefits. Duties include:
Assist the Lighting Coordinator with determining client needs for lighting and video, assist in developing a plan to best serve those needs, and assist in implementing that plan
Assist in overseeing long and short term maintenance of lighting and video equipment in Zoellner Arts Center
Assist in developing, communicating, and maintaining safety standards in the area of theatrical lighting and video production
Assist in training students and wage employees about stage lighting and video production
Partners with the Stage Coordinator to co-manage and run crew calls when the Stage Coordinator has other duties to attend to
Job requirements include:
Bachelor's Degree in Theatre or related degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
One to three years related work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position

Will nearly continuously need to speak and hear, and lift up to 20 pounds

Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University was built in 1996 and opened in 1997-98. The center is home to the Music Department, the Department of Theatre, the Art Galleries and the Guest Artist Series, all of which share the same professional Zoellner staff, venues and equipment.

The Guest Artist Series has presented a wide array of multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural performers, including Tony Bennet, Yo-Yo-Ma, the New York Philharmonic, Itzhak Perlman, Garrison Keillor, Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, Lily Tomlin, Natalie Cole, Momix and David Parsons Dance intermissions. The building, designed by Philadelphia architects Dagit Saylor, houses three theatres: a 1,000-seat proscenium theatre (Baker Hall), a 300-seat thrust theatre (Diamond Theatre), and a 125-seat black box theatre.
