Baylin Artists Management (est 1993) is seeking an Artist Rep. for the West Coast, to handle the touring of approx 25 artists/productions/ensembles including the Aquila Theatre, LA Theatre Works, Reduced Shakespeare Co., Danu, ETHEL, and others. This is a full time position with the possibility of working remotely. We represent a diverse roster of international and US based artists in a variety of genres but with a primary focus on theater and music. We have a commitment to service- for both our artists and the presenting organizations.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 yrs of direct experience as an artist rep. or in a related position that includes regular contact with presenting organizations in North America.The candidate should also have 2-3 yrs of experience in sales and/or marketing. A broad knowledge of the touring performing arts field and a familiarity with the processes involved is preferred. The candidate should be a confident individual, passionate about the performing arts, and have the ability to work independently in a small team environment. Excellent presentation skills, along with a strong command of verbal and written communications, is required. The candidate must see the value of building and maintaining long term relationships. Everyone on our team is involved in discussions related to the shape of the roster and any special projects we may take on. Each staff member plays an important role in our success and opinions and differing perspectives are encouraged and valued.
