REPORTS TO: Producer
POSITION SUMMARY: John McAlister Productions is looking for a creative, organized, hardworking and energetic person to assist in both Box Office and Production Operations.
IMMEDIATELY—BOX OFFICE: This role assists in the day-to-day needs of the Box Office. The primary responsibility is to guarantee an exceptional level of guest service by selling tickets and providing event information in coordination with the Box Office Team. Training on Vendini ticketing software will be provided.
This facet requires very minimal time commitment and is almost entirely remote/virtual. The Box Team Member will set availability with the Producer and may choose to take as many or as few guest calls as he/she is able. Compensation is based upon a commission of sales.
AVAILABILITY: The JMP Box Office is open Tuesday—Friday 11AM—6PM and Saturday 12PM— 6PM. Candidate should be able to commit to 10 weekly hours within those business hours.
LONG-TERM—PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER: This role is a long-term opportunity to provide assistance and leadership on major future shows beginning in fall 2017/spring 2018. The primary responsibility is to function as Production Stage Manager by communicating with the Creative Team and Cast as shows are conceived and executed.
JMP is a boutique production company, presenting only a handful of shows ranging from Broadway to Symphony with the best performers and production values in the industry. Major shows typically involve a diverse Cast traveling from several locations in the United States. This role takes the lead in managing personnel before arrivals “on the ground.” During final rehearsals/performances on the ground, the Production Stage Manager calls cues as well as assists the Team with various needs that may arise.
Since JMP maintains a small team, the successful Box Office Team Member may have the opportunity to work into the production role outlined above.
AVAILABILITY: Remote/virtual availability of choice during fall 2017/spring 2018. Opportunities to travel and work the 2 show weekends (December 2017/March 2018).
