The Cultural Center Administrator serves as a leader in engaging, celebrating and building community through Lakewood's performing and cultural arts venues and programs. As a member of the HCA leadership team, this position provides a high level of energy and professionalism, infusing staff and volunteers with enthusiasm and drive to advance the mission of the Lakewood Cultural Center (LCC) and the HCA Division. Responsible for the day to day oversight and administration of the LCC facility, operations, tenant relations, budgeting and customer service. Responsible for curating and presenting the annual LCC Presents performing arts series to represent the diversity of the community and appeal to diverse audiences. Leads, directs and inspires staff in the areas of LCC indoor and outdoor rentals; technical, box office and ticketing support for LCC and HCA performances and events. Supports annual events plan by providing programming for the Amphitheater, Heritage Center and other City facilities, as requested. Works closely with local and regional performing arts community, encouraging partnerships and collaboration. Collaborates and works in coordination with HCA and city staff at other facilities as assigned. Serves as key leader within the HCA Division and reports directly to the HCA Manager.

Lakewood Cultural Center (LCC) is a 38,000 sq. ft. performing arts venue that attracts over 110,000 visitors annually. The LCC offers a technically advanced 320-seat theater, rotating visual art exhibitions in multiple gallery spaces, meeting and event spaces, cultural arts classes and a welcoming lobby space. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in the performing or cultural arts, or a closely related field is highly desirable. Master's Degree in appropriate performing arts/business discipline preferred including Arts Administration, Arts Management, or a related field. A combination of education and directly related work experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum 5 years progressively responsible management/administration in the performing arts administration field including working familiarity with performing arts programs and production-related technical requirements to ensure smooth operational execution and integration of all performance programs.
Minimum 4 years' experience in direct supervision of professional full time staff.
Background in management with strong fiscal planning experience and working knowledge of a variety of cultural venues including performance, exhibitions, and not-for-profit management business practices.
A minimum of 4 years' experience developing and implementing performing and/or cultural programing and/or activities in community based public cultural facilities and activities.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license and good driving record.
